My drifter collection of handmade baskets are inspired by the colours of our natural environment, and all created as unique, individual pieces.
No piece is complete without a beautiful Tasmanian shell or a piece of weathered driftwood, tumbled by the ocean and washed up on one of Tasmania’s stunning East Coast beaches.
The most satisfying part of the process in producing these unique baskets would be finding the perfect collection of beach treasure to adorn each piece. Long strolls on the beach are ideal for artistic inspiration.
This basket is made with hand dyed 6mm cotton sash cord (Australian Made) in beautiful olive green with 6mm polypropylene rope base. With the synthetic base, these baskets are mildew resistant so perfect for bathrooms or kitchen. This stunning basket is finished with a queen scallop shell.
